Company Overview
Wazee Partners is a Denver based real estate company principally active in the development of multifamily, senior housing, retail and land properties throughout the mountain west. We create lasting value for our investors and communities through creative vision, sophisticated evaluation and thoughtful, detailed execution. We are actively seeking opportunities to:

  • Acquire and renovate existing apartment properties
  • Purchase land for development
  • Redevelop and reposition unique or historical buildings
  • Partner with municipalities, housing authorities and urban renewal agencies to help complete local development projects
  • Provide fee based development services for apartment, retail and mixed-use properties
  • Joint venture with existing land owners who wish to contribute their land in exchange for ownership in a development project

Executive Bios

Chris Downs

Principal

Mr. Downs has served as the principal officer of several partnerships involved in the development, acquisition, renovation of multi-family rental apartment and townhome for sale projects throughout several mountain states. He is a Principal of Wazee Partners LLC, a real estate development and investment company principally active in the development and acquisition/rehabilitation of multifamily, senior housing, retail and land properties throughout the mountain west.

In his career as an attorney, Mr. Downs has practiced real property, commercial and general business law for more than 28 years. In addition to his activities as a real estate principal, Mr. Downs has a law practice with emphasis in multifamily housing development, HUD insured mortgage loan financing and low income housing tax credit syndication for Section 8 rental subsidy projects. He represents both developers and multifamily mortgage loan lenders, including representation of Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, LLC. (formerly known as Capmark Finance) with respect to its FHA insured mortgage loan program for eight (8) states included within the HUD Rocky Mountain Region. Mr. Downs holds undergraduate and advanced degrees from the University of Denver and received his Juris Doctorate from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Tyler Downs

Principal

Tyler Downs is a Principal of Wazee Partners LLC, a real estate development and investment company principally active in the development and acquisition/rehabilitation of multifamily, senior housing, retail and land properties throughout the mountain west. During his ten years as a real estate professional, Mr. Downs has been active in the development, acquisition, asset management and operation of retail, land and multifamily properties. Mr. Downs began his career at Black Creek Capital, a real estate private equity firm based in Denver, CO. His responsibilities at Black Creek included the underwriting and project management of individual real estate development and acquisition transactions, as well feasibility and development of real estate platform companies. Mr. Downs received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a M.S. in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
